Физико-химические свойства: белый микроскопический аморфный порошок. Без запаха, без вкуса. Относительная плотность 4.42 ~ 16:45. Нерастворим в воде и этаноле, слегка растворим в аммиаке, растворим в разбавленной кислоте и гидроксиде натрия. В качестве 30% перекиси водорода выпускает углекислый газ, формирует оксид.
Основное применение: может использоваться в качестве каталитического дисульфатора, препарат эмульсионной мембраны, краски, искусственного шелка, легкого типа вяжущее вещество, используемое в медицине, антикоррозийная добавка, присыпка, дезинфицирующее средство и мази для кожи. Степень прозрачности щелочно-углекислого цинка приближается к натуральному каучуку.
